I'm jealous, mine's done something over 120,000km (showing over 118,000km plus at least 3,500km with the speedo drive broken) and I'm lucky to get 6.2l/100km. If i get 16km/l I'm happy. But then I like to wring its neck regularly too.

I'm going to add more mileage as soon as I can.

Speaking of which, I know if you are reading this, you are already signed up for the 2012 National rally, October 11-14, right?

If not, it is at the beautiful Ironhorse Lodge, down by Deal's Gap area.

Great camping, riding, and just hanging out too!

Check it out!!

Mine's only got 86 miles! But wait last weekend it had 99997, so I guess that would be 100086 miles 8) and running great. Unfortunately I can't claim most of those miles they were put on by the previous owner, I'm hoping to put the next 100k on though.

Hi to all
My bike is 650 V6 and must be one of the last ever made. It was pre- registered by the dealer in 2007 and remained in the showroom unsold until 2010, I bought it in April this year from the first owner with less than 1000 miles on the clock. It has now covered a total of 2300 miles. It is black and in standard trim apart from a fenda- extender . I'm quite pleased with it apart from the rear suspension (or lack of) which knocks the stuffing out of me. It defies all attempts of adjustment to the spring preload or compression damping and I am currently looking round for a solution.
Regards Sundayrider,

92 TA with 120,000 kms or is that 220,000 kms I do not know, Of that I have ridden 50,000 kms in 3.5 years - never let me down once but the oil consumption is another story............ Decent performance these days with two new CV diaphrams :D

If the earlier 600s are like my '03 650 then I'd guess yours has done 220,000km. My 650 has done 125,000 since I bought it new and it still doesn't use any oil. It is down on power as it topped out at about 7,000rpm and 165km/h the other night when I held it pinned. It used to do 180km/h with the current gearing.

XL700VA, 2012.

It's now got 22000 miles on the clock, all of which I've clocked up over the last 23 months :-) Roughly 300 a week commuting daily.

Its been regularly dealer serviced though.

I am definitely having fun!

I hit 50,000km on my 700. Zero work done apart from standard services and I'm on chain #3. Still the original sprockets!

The only other thing was a fork seal giving up at 49,995km. I'm now waiting for my front forks to come back from a suspension guru with progressive springs. Yay!

My 1986 has 7800 miles on it. It's always been my second bike... but the one I've kept.
When the doctor said, "Your greatest health risk is riding your motorcycle", I sold my R1200GS. I didn't tell him I kept my Transalp.
It's all original except the CDI units and mounts which I replaced. I have a small crack on the front right fairing which, from what I can tell is practically original factor equipment!

It's in such great shape that I'm considering buying a Tiger 800XC just so I won't put tons of miles on my 'Alp.

1989 with 10200 miles had 4800 miles when purchased 2yrs ago. Doesn't sound like it out much on it but where I ride it you only get 60 miles in a full day.

It's great therapy Derek. If I didn't ride to work I'd rarely ride at all, and thankfully it's about 39km each way.
My 9y.o. grand-daughter recently found out she's old enough (kids must be past their 8th birthday here to pillion) to come on the bike with me. She hounds me for a ride whenever they are in town, so that gets me out on the bike too and she's a great little pillion.

I bought my 1990 transalp 600 2 years ago with 52000 kms its now got 65000 kms and I have enjoyed putting on every one of them apart from the 2 cdi's packing in ( I now have a brace plate fitted to keep the seat off )it has never missed a beat . im hooked I would hate to imagine life without a transalp and I intend on keeping the one I have for a long long time sure its only ran in with 65000kms or 40000miles done . there is plenty of life left in the old girl yet .

Are they genuine miles or has it been around the clock a time or two?

Well then my good man you have done very well for yourself. That is a truly rare find. I can't leave my bikes alone so I'll never have one of those to sell, though I did score a '01 FZ1000 with about 11,600km on it this time last year, and it now has over 23,200km on the clock. See i told you I can't help myself!

Well,

This is me signing out :-(

My 2012 XL700VA is now 43 months old, and has done 43,000 miles :-) :-)

I'd have bought a new one, but, well... :-(

Replacement is a shiny new F800GS which I pick up on Saturday. :-)

Vomboy1

PS - It's still running well, and starts every day, it just needs a new exhaust which I don't want to spend money on.

For us USA folks that more than 90,000 miles. Now I'm impressed.

Just bought an 89 with just under 55,000 miles on the clock, I haven't rode it yet due to some needs (CDI, chain/sprockets) hope it has another 55,000 left in it.

Got "a new bike" few days ago when my 2006 TA came to 100 000 kms. I bought the bike in June 2011 and at that time the bike had about 15 000 kms on the clock. During the past six years the only trouble has been clutch cable at 80 tkms. Otherwise only normal maintance.
