I'm thinking about a Wolfman Explorer/ Explorer lite or a Marsee Teardrop 15l or 20L for a Tankbag.

Does anyone have any experience with any of these on a Transalp? Even better would be pictures.

Should I be thinking magnetic, or quick release straps?

I just snagged a Marsee 25 Liter Teardrop model on Ebay for $31. 8) We'll just have to see how it fits.

The Marsee 25 Liter Teardrop fit beautifully. Now I've finally got something big between my legs. :D

Pics to follow when I get around to it.

I am new to the TA group, acquired a 1989 xl600v (US version) and want to find a tank bag for it. Online searches turn up bags but searches don't list the TA as being the bike the bag fits. Does anyone out there have a bag (that is still in production) they can recommend?
Thanks

The TA is hard to fit a Tank Bag on because of the large gas cap. And if you have the nonlocking cap with the vent tube coming out of it that's even worse. I've got a magnetic tank bag on my XL1000v and
though it is very handy, it still scratches the paint because it picks up any little piece of metal or shaving and rubs it into the paint. Just my thoughts and observations.

Guys, do you mean something like this?

But i don't know, is any different between tanks of TA600 and TA650?

Those rely on being able to bolt the gas cap in place and I don't think the 650 filler is that type, but it is flush with the top of the tank which helps, unlike the 600 that sticks up an inch or so.
