I know it´s been covered bazzillion times, but my ADHD and the amount of information available just can´t cope.

So. I´m riding XL600VR 1995(-94?).

Can you guys confirm, that XRV 650 swing arm is a bolt on mod? Or not? Meaning my (now buggered) shock, link arm and brake saddle thingies go there without TIG welding and such. Rear wheel?

I found one of those forks for a decent price...

EDIT: Now that I started googling, I also found a complete XRV650 front end with the triple clamps and all. Would that make any difference to my bike? I mean is it all the same to put the swing arm there with my original Öhlins and just put intiminators (is that even a word?) to the original front fork?

Or I could swap the front fork too and put intiminators in that one? Would I be able to use the original front brake saddle and wheel?

I know this sounds kinda messy. So:

a) fix the Öhlins and leave everything as is?
b) fix the Öhlins and just whack in a XRV650 rear fork?
c) swap both forks from the XRV650?

Would b) and c) be bolt-on? With the risers I´ve got, and the soon-to-be-new handle bar, I need to re-think the wiring and cables anyway, so that´s not considered a problem...

Thanks heaps!

Neppi

as a first aid I tightened up the spring. Now atleast the frequency of the bouncing is faster, so it doesn´t feel so annoying... Ü

It´s rideable and I need to use it this week, so that´s how I roll for now.

Anyway, if someone can confirm the swing arm fit, I´ll order it.

Thanks!

neppi
