Dear colleagues,
Before one month I changed the fork oil of my transalp, I used 10w syntetic formula. The manual recommends 5w, but on catalog on the motorbike shop for my model suggests 10w. I took decision to change the oil because I was feeling that in motion the front suspension is very soft and the motorbike has going not stabile on highway road, waving in vertical axe. Got 10w Usually I am riding on asphalt or macadan (small rural roads), not ofroad, and I think this formula is proper for my use. From the moment of oil change the front forks working well, when use front brake the forks diving to down soft and no any noises or problems. What is the problem, from few weeks the motorbike has starts react on the unevenness on the road hard. Shakes! I have never touch the rear shock absorber, Do you think to looking there for some problem? How can I check does it works? I know that is pneumatic system and how can I check the pressure there? When I sit up to bike and push it down with all my body weight I think it is works very good, also no problem on mud or stone roads, suspension works good. The adjuster bolt is difficult to move, but may I try with more power to screw it, hope do not damage. Can you give me some ideas what to do? I keep tire pressure 2.00 to 2.2 bar, is not from the tires because are installed brand new (premium top quality mark) and year of use.

First thing I would check is the smoothness of the steering head bearings, get the front wheel of the ground and turn the handle bars from side to side. Then check there is no front to back movement in the front wheel. If these check OK take the front brake calliper off and check the balance of the front wheel. Good luck with it, Nev.

Zarkooo, remind us the mileage (Kilometerage?) of the bike.

Thank you for advices! The bearings are ok, the steering is fine, no any gaps and in summer I got balance on tires, as the mechanic said me that everything is good.
The mileage of the bike is going to 43 000 km, approx. 27 000 miles, so on.

Swing arm bearings can cause funny shaking in the front.
