Recently picked up a TA and finally got it running right.Had the carbs cleaned, etc.Pretty amazing machine!Smooth, nimble with plenty of power, but then again I did not expect any less. When I picked it up the gentleman said the tach did not work.Previously he would tap on it and it would begin to work again. Now it does work at all.I ordered two new CDI's and got them today installed them, nada .I had the entire apart and again, nada .
Next issue.the brake light does not come on when the front brake is applied only when the rear is applied. Not a major deal as I am used to using both at the same time.
Any ideas as to where to look.

Got a wire loose or busted in tach. Probably easy to find with multimeter and a bit of time. The switch for the front brake is probably goofed up. A replacement should be too hard to find. _________________ Garry Bird, Owner-Manager

Dear Motoboss, I'm having such a problem since I bought my bike. I dismounted the tach and what a surprise I saw that the tach seemed to be in good shape everything was ok. I was able to draw a schematic of the tach here ti is:
it may be in help to you, I have not solved the problem yet! |
