I recently picked a 89 alp 9000 miles, good shape, but when it first starts, it idles fine but when you hit the gas it runs rough until it warms up completely,it probably could use a tune up where it has sat for a bit, does this sound like a tune up or cdi???thanks _________________ 2007 triumph rocket 3

Tune it up, include valve check, carb synch. Sounds nothing like a cdi. _________________ Garry Bird, Owner-Manager

"Sat for a bit"
Sounds like it could use a carb cleaning.........and during that cleaning a very close look and cleaning of the pilot jet also known as the slow jet. _________________ 1989 Transalp, 1982CX500T, 1983 GL1100, 1970 CT90, 1981 C70, TRX 250, 1994XR250R, 1988 NT650, 1987 XR250L |
